I find it imperative to incorporate my love of science and nature with my devotion to creating works of art. From watery depths to the soaring skies, the creatures of our world have always fascinated me. Their internal structures, their outward appearances, their relationships with the environment, and even their interactions with humans has inspired my work.

Implementing the creative process through a culmination of research on the animals, experimentation with materials, and execution of plans and models. Wood is primarily used in my sculptural pieces due to the materials versatility and abundance. Metal is employed in the making process to emphasize form and structures of the pieces. My illustrative works explore the use of ink and watercolor to portray an intimate view of an animal’s world.

I seek to depict animals in various stages of movement to capture their behavior in my work. This gives each piece its own personality. By doing so, I strive to build a connection with viewers so they too become fascinated with the natural world. The interactions of animals with themselves and their environments will continue to inspire my future pieces.
